Uvalife™ Antioxidant Blend

• Custom MBc Blend of Australian Red Grape derived antioxidants, to protect against free radicals when skin is dry or inflamed

Sabiwhite® Curcumin

• A clinically validated, colourless form of curcumin that helps clarify skin and reduce pigmentation (Majeed, 2010)
• Also provides antioxidant protection and soothes irritated skin

Salvia hispanica (Chia) Seed Oil

• A non-comedogenic source of fatty acids, to nourish the skin barrier, without a greasy finish
• Rich in alpha-linolenic acid, which are precursors the omega-3’s EPA and DHA (Parker, 2018)

Hyaluronic Acid

• Significantly improves moisturization within 30 minutes of application along with reduced levels of dryness and roughness (Lain, 2024)

Efficacy test: anti-acne bacterial inflammation

• The moisturizer was tested on acne bacteria infected skin cells grown under body conditions by Dermaclain in Spain
• After 24 hours, the cells were measured for changes in 3 different inflammation markers (TNF alpha, IL-1 alpha, and IL-6)
• The product reversed these inflammation markers by up to 86%, back to normal levels
• Conclusion: Back in Balance Clarifying Moisturizer has an anti-inflammatory effect on skin cells pre-exposed to acne bacteria

Short-term moisture & elasticity effects

• Application of the product to forehead skin resulted in a 20-25% increase in moisture after 30 minutes, maintained over 90 minutes. This effect was maintained over 24 hrs.​
• There was also a corresponding improvement in skin elasticity over 30-60 min by up to 10%​

1 Why is the pH of this product lower than our other products?

The slightly lower (more acidic) pH of this moisturizer allows beta-HA (salicylic acid) to work more effectively in exfoliating and retexturizing skin. Although our products are matched to skin’s pH, the adjusted pH in this product is still within the tolerable range of skin pH, so it is still safe.

2 Why should I choose salicylic acid?

Salicylic acid products are suitable to use as part of facial skincare routines, especially for acne-prone and eczema-prone skin. If you have inflamed skin, this ingredient has a soothing and calming effect, which is why it is a useful part of cleansers, serums or creams.
