1 Why is the pH of this product slightly lower than others?
The slightly lower pH is designed to assist the action of salicylic acid in helping soothe and resurface the skin. The pH is still within the range of tolerance of skin, so it is still safe for daily use to remove stubborn dead skin cells, lower excess oils and manage whiteheads and blackheads.
2 How does salicylic acid work and do I need to include it in my routine?
An important role of salicylic acid in the product is to gently remove dead cells from the pores and surface layers. It also soothes irritated and inflamed skin, and controls sebum production.
